“I know it is all God's call and His decision, but I wish you weren't in this situation,” the Megastar said, referring to Fanny's current health condition.
Celebrity stylist and makeup artist Fanny Serrano remains in serious condition after suffering a massive stroke on March 16.
The sad news was relayed by Fanny's good friend, the Megastar Sharon Cuneta, who took to Instagram to express her sadness and distress.
“HINDI KO NA KAYA. Tita Fanny is now on life support...meaning, without all the machines connected to him, he would no longer be able to breathe on his own...I do not know what to do with myself...TF, I promised you years ago that I would take care of you until the end... I think I have kept that promise,” Sharon wrote yesterday evening, March 24.
TF - as Fanny is endearingly called in showbiz - had two strokes in the past, making his present condition more vulnerable.
“But THIS IS NOT the end I want for you...I know it is all God's call and His decision, but I wish you weren't in this situation.”
Sharon lamented the unfortunate timing of Fanny's predicament. With the entire nation reeling from the resurgence of COVID-19 cases, going in and out of the hospital to visit loved ones can be challenging at the moment.
“I truly have no words to say...there are just no words for how painful this is for me and the others who love you.
“Bakit naman ni hindi tayo puede magkita ngayon pa? Puede mo ba ako hintayin na mayakap at mahalikan at ipaalala sayo gaano kita kamahal? Para na kitang Nanay... I love you so much...Bakit naman right after Rocky's passing ikaw naman ang nasa peligro agad ngayon..?”
The Rocky that Sharon was referring to was fashion designer Rocky Gathercole, who passed away on March 3 of this year.
Many celebrities including Judy Ann Santos, Pops Fernandez, Manilyn Reynes, Jackie Lou Blanco, and Zsa Zsa Padilla have left comments on Sharon's post, offering support and prayers both for Sharon and Fanny.
Meanwhile, entertainment reporter Gorgy Rula also gave an update on Fanny's condition in an article for PEP.ph.
“Ayon sa ilang close din kay Tita Fanny na napagtanungan ko, nilagyan si TF ng tube dahil may tubig sa lungs at kailangang tanggalin. 'Di naman daw masasabing life support yun. Pero kailangan daw talagang ma-monitor nang mabuti dahil third attack na niya pala ito,” wrote Gorgy.
Many celebrities led by some of TF's closest friends like Lorna Tolentino, Gina Alajar, and Sandy Andolong, are also doing hourly prayers and asking for divine intervention to help Fanny survive his ordeal.
