Miss Capiz Shayne Glenmae Maquiran

Shayne Glenmae Maquiran represents Capiz and was recently named one of the finalists of the pageant's Swimsuit Challenge.

Miss Capiz Shayne Glenmae Maquiran, one of the Miss Universe Philippines delegates that have been performing well in the pageant's multiple challenges, has withdrawn from the pageant's talent presentation.

In a post on her Instagram account, the beauty queen wrote that her health condition is preventing her from showcasing her “God-given talents to the fullest.” According to her, a persistent cough has impacted her vocals, which prevents her from performing her “dream Broadway piece” at the Miss Universe Philippines talent presentation to be held today at Cove Manila.

While Shayne is looking forward to another opportunity to showcase her talent, she did wish all of her fellow performers the best of luck at today's presentation.

Shayne's withdrawal from the talent presentation comes after she was recently announced as part of the top five of the Miss Universe Philippines Swimsuit Challenge. Along with her in the top five were Miss Agusan del Norte Jannarie Zarzoso, Miss Bulacan Princess Anne Marcos, and Miss Pampanga Angelique Manto.

Miss Agusan del Norte Jannarie Zarzoso, Miss Bulacan Princess Anne Marcos, and Miss Pampanga Angelique Manto have also been named part of the top five finalists of the Runway Challenge alongside Miss Bohol Pauline Amelinckx and Miss Makati Michelle Dee.

Miss Agusan del Norte Jannarie Zarzoso, Miss Bulacan Princess Anne Marcos, and Miss Pampanga Angelique Manto were also part of the top five of the Photoshoot Challenge. Rounding out that top five were Miss Eastern Samar Airrish Ramos and Miss Quezon Province Lesly Sim.

Meanwhile, the recently held National Costume competition ended with Eastern Samar's Airissh Ramos, Benguet's Joemay Leo, and Southern Leyte's Kimberly Escartin in first, second, and third place respectively.

After the talent presentation and three days before the coronation night, the queens will also participate in the Miss Universe 2023 Fashion and Charity Gala at the Okada Manila Grand Ballroom. The gala, which is being held for the benefit of Save the Children and Hope 4 Change, will have Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel as a special guest.
