Shayne Sava

Shayne Sava is glad to be able to educate the public about a few sensitive issues through 'Legal Wives.'

Kapuso actress and StarStruck season 7 Ultimate Female Survivor Shayne Sava is glad to finally land her first-ever teleserye after her stint on the reality artista search.

Shayne will be part of the upcoming cultural drama series Legal Wives.

Legal Wives tells the story of a unique Maranaw family where one man marries three different women for various reasons.

Top billing the show are Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo, Alice Dixson, Andrea Torres, and Bianca Umali.

Shayne says that she glad for the opportunity to educate the public about a few sensitive or taboo issues through the show.

Marami pa po palang pwedeng factors or reasons kung bakit nagpapakasal ang mga Muslim or 'yung ibang mga religion na nagpa-practice ng polygamy," she shares in an online interview with select members of the media, including GMANetwork.com.

In the show, Shayne plays Jamilah, a young woman from a wealthy Mranaw clan who falls in love with a poor, orphaned young man.

She shares many scenes with veteran and award-winning actors such as Cherie Gil, Al Tantay, and Irma Adlawan.

"Kapag po kunwari kumakain po kami or nagme-makeup, nag-uusap usap po [kami]. Binibigyan po nila kami ng advice about work ethics. Si Ms. Cherie, binigyan din po ako ng advice about work ethics, pati po sina direk Al," Shayne says.

She is grateful for the small tips and lessons that the more experienced actors give her.

While she still feels nervous at times, she is now adjusting to acting alongside them.

She has also improved in terms of the technical aspects of acting, thanks to the tips from her older co-stars.

"'Yung camera man, 'yung mga camera, kailangan alam mo [kung nasaan] para po maka-acting ka ng maayos saka makapagbigay ka din po ng maayos doon sa mga co-actors and actresses mo," she offered.

The show will also have Shayne paired up with fellow StarStruck season 7 alum Abdul Raman.
