Celebrity mom and actress Sherilyn Reyes-Tan gamely answers the question: 'Is she a better wife or a better mother?' Find out her answer here:
Sherilyn Reyes-Tan took to Instagram to give her honest reply about a question asked to her in a previous interview: Is she a better wife or a better mother?
The celebrity mom and former Bahay Mo Ba 'To? star who has been with her husband, former basketball player Chris Tan for more than 20 years, shared her thoughts about being a good mother and wife in a lengthy Instagram post.
Sherilyn wrote, “I was asked yesterday on an interview, ARE YOU A BETTER WIFE OR A BETTER MOTHER? I was not sure how I answered but this morning I suddenly remembered the question.”
The Sparkle talent continued, “Every day, there is an outpouring of Love in different ways. “Eia, don't forget to freshen up”, “Lo, what time will you work out?”, “Kuya, will you be able to join us or you'll use your break to work so I can have food sent to your room?”, “'Honey, what time do you want to eat?'”… aside from the good morning kisses, occasional hugs and kisses in a day, the 'I love you's'.”
Sherilyn went on to point out that being a good partner to your husband could also mean that you are a good mother to your kids. “Prioritizing your husband also means you are a good mother because you and husband are giving your children a strong foundation by showing them that you both are nurturing your relationship and taking care of your marriage.
“For Eia though, she wants her Mama all to herself until now. “Do not replace me with Daddy ha?" Then I hope and pray though that despite my imperfections and shortcomings I am able to show them everyday they matter the most to me.”
Before ending her post, she reminded everyone that we can express our love and affection to our family in so many ways.
The versatile actress added that we should never miss an opportunity to make them feel that we love them.
“Luckily though Chris does not demand so much. He just wants a good weekly menu which yes can be so challenging, home is orderly and just time with him be it watching series or just sitting right beside each other doing our own stuff and our family time and family meeting where we talk about how we are doing.
“But I love it when they all come to me for anything. I love the love language of each one of them. There are many ways we can show our love. Make sure we do it as much as we can.. as often as we can! Life is full of surprises and time goes by so fast.”
For the past two decades of being together, Sherilyn and Chris have been raising their three children together: Ryle Paolo, Lorenz Christopher, and Anya Sabrina.
In other news, Sherilyn Reyes-Tan is part of the star-studded line-up of Sparkle GMA Artist Center, after inking her contract in September 2021.
She's currently part of the high-rating Saturday night sitcom Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kuwento playing the role of Tiyang Lena.
