Sheryl Cruz was hailed as the Best TV Actress of the Year at the 9th Asia Pacific Luminare Awards held at the Heritage Hotel Manila on July 28.
On Instagram, Sheryl thanked everyone and dedicated the award to her late aunt, actress Susan Roces, whom she fondly called Mama Inday.
She wrote, "Thank you very much to all who make up the 9th Luminare Asia Pacific Awards for this honor. Maraming salamat Direk Romm, especially in this coveted category many actresses like me aspire for."
"I dedicate this to my loved ones especially those who have gone before me - one very special woman I'd like to remember on her birthday today is my late Mama Inday (Susan Roces, my beloved Auntie who is a great actress)."
Sheryl currently stars in GMA Afternoon Prime series Lilet Matias, Attorney-At-Law where she portrays Patricia, the stepmother of Atty. Lilet (Jo Berry).
Lilet Matias, Attorney-At-Law airs Mondays to Fridays, 3:20 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime, Pinoy Hits, and Kapuso Stream.
