“I should not be faulted for something I am not liable for...” - Sheryl Cruz

Magkaagaw star Sheryl Cruz decries the alleged campaign loan amounting to PhP 100,000 as reported by a citizen named “Alex” by calling a local radio program.

However, according to the 46-year-old actress, “I have not borrowed any amount from 'Alex.'

“Should she be able to prove clearly and unequivocally that she did incur a deficit during my campaign, I would gladly pay the same. I pay my dues.

“The money she may have caused to be paid for the dance projects and the salaries of the staff are from the campaign funds and not from her pocket.

“She was one of my campaign handlers and she held the funds.”

That being said, the actress criticized the radio program for acting as a “pseudo court."

“An anonymous number called me when the program was already being aired and was expecting me to explain. I was taken by surprise.

“I chose to remain silent because I don't want to go on that level.

“I prefer to explain myself before the court if need be because my conscience is clear and truth and fairness will protect me,” Sheryl stated.

She also warned the bashers by saying that the messages they left “may be used as evidence of cyberbullying and online harassment.”

“I should not be faulted for something I am not liable for,” she concluded.
