SHINee Onew on chocolate hills

Check out SHINee's Onew's reaction to the Philippines' popular tourist spot, Chocolate Hills.

K-pop superstar and SHINee leader Onew became curious about the Philippines' well-known tourist destination, Chocolate Hills.

During his first solo fan meeting "GUESS" in Manila held at the New Frontier Theater on July 4, Onew's artistic side was put to the test when he drew two of the country's most popular tourist attractions: Chocolate Hills and Banaue Rice Terraces.

When host Karen Bordador introduced the famous Bohol landmark, Onew wondered why it was named Chocolate Hills.

Karen explained that in the summer, the grass turns really dark like chocolate, resembling "chocolate kisses."

Referring to the picture on the screen, Onew jokingly said, "So this is like a matcha chocolate right now?" which was then followed by cheers from the audience.

Shawols and Jjinggus then talked about it online, who were all amused by Onew's 'big brain' moment.

Onew's fan meeting in Manila is part of his first solo Asia tour, "GUESS," which kicked off in Seoul, South Korea on May 17 and 18 followed by stops in Osaka on June 4-5, Yokohama on June 7-8, and Macau on June 23.

After the Manila leg, the tour will continue in Kaohsiung on July 13, Singapore on July 21, and Kuala Lumpur on July 27.
