The multi-awarded actor shared how his life was like before he was convinced by his cousin Geoff Eigenmann to try jiu-jitsu.

"It's literally like a hole. It's a fun hole, but you don't realize how deep you go. By the time you reach what seems to be the bottom, which obviously you can't get out. When you're in there, in that hole, you're alone. It's really dark. I was losing my jobs, job offers. One day, I came home from work, my family wasn't there anymore. They left."

With his family gone, Sid's journey as an addict started, and everything became worse. But Geoff, whom the Alyas Robin Hood actor is very close to, introduced him to jiu-jitsu, and that's when he decided to turn his life around.

"I want to say that I had purpose all of a sudden, but in the beginning you don't see that right away. At first it was a competition between you and your cousin. But the next thing you know, the lessons that you learn, everything that you learn from jiu-jitsu, you are able to practice it."
