Kinoronahan kagabi, April 17 ang pinakabagong Bb. Pilipinas Universe. Nasungkit ni Maxine Medina ang most-coveted crown sa Binibing Pilipinas 2016 coronation night sa Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City.
Nagbigay naman ng payo ang 2015 Bb. Pilipinas Universe at reigning Miss Universe na si Pia Wurtzbach sa nagmana ng kaniyang korona.
Ayon kay Pia, may malaking responsibilidad ang pagkakahirang sa Bb. Pilipinas Universe dahil siya ang magre-represent ng bansa sa world stage.
Paliwanag ng Pinay beauty queen, “To the next Binibini who will get this crown tonight, please take good care of it. It's not just a pretty headpiece they put on top of your head. It's your ticket to represent the Filipina and the whole nation. And I know you're ready.”
