Toneejay, known for his inspirational "711" song, announced his first child in a heartfelt post.
On Monday, November 4, the OPM singer shared photos on Instagram of his son, Rory Indigo, who is over a week old.
In some of the snaps, Toneejay carried his baby and rested on his shoulder.
"By now, you are a little over a week old. In that short amount of time, you have made me appreciate more what it means for "joy" to be the opposite of "grief," he wrote.
"Grief is that weight we feel when we lose someone and become acutely aware of their absence. We tell ourselves: "Once my love was here, but now they are nowhere to be found."
He added, "But joy, as its opposite, is the lightness of appreciating someone's presence--as in realizing that "once my love did not exist, they were nowhere to be found; now they are here, and they will be here always with me."
The singer ended the lengthy post by saying "I love you" to his son. He said he was delighted to meet their little one and promised they would always be by his side.
This May, Toneejay dropped an album titled Aurora with nine tracklists, including the famous "711."
He can finally relate in the lyrics "Gusto kong ibigay ang buhay na gusto mo" dedicated for his son.
