
Season 96 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is ready to roll.
The league will officially open on Sunday, June 13, on what promises to be a star-studded affair featuring student-athletes and representatives from the 10 member schools, and Kapuso celebrities.
This season's ceremony will be like no other, with GMA's advanced Studio 7 serving as the venue to formally jumpstart the league's comeback after an extended break because of the pandemic.
Hosting the event are real-life couple Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos.
They will be joined by Rise Up Stronger: The Road to NCAA Season 96 hosts Sophia Senoron and Martin Javier.
Special performances will be given by Kapuso stars Aicelle Santos, Kyline Alcantara, and Lani Misalucha, among others.
Not to be missed is the ceremonial parade introducing the competing schools along with the flagbearers and muses made up of GMA stars.

GMA Network and the NCAA signed a landmark deal in December last year covering the broadcast rights for NCAA Season 96 to 101 - including the centennial year of the Philippines' first athletic league in 2024.
The 21-episode primer Rise Up Stronger: The Road to NCAA Season 96 was launched on May 23 for fans to get to know the student-athletes, the schools, and past and present league personalities.
