Take a closer look at the newest segments from Sis with the bubbly Tessbomb as your personal guide.
Every morning we are treated to the dynamic and fun trio of Janice, >, Gelli and Carmina. Their interesting personalities and animated discussions make us want to look forward to the rest of the day. And while we love their constant presence in our lives, they continue to think of ways to make SIS even more interesting. Text by Loretta G. Ramirez Sis Joyride! This segment features the vehicles of your favorite stars. Tessbomb, SIS’ segment host, joins the star aboard his car and take a trip around the metro while interviewing the artist and giving us an exclusive peek of the artist’s vehicle. She shared with us some of the most unforgettable rides she has featured on the show. “Si Jay R, yung gulong niya, day! May bling bling. Pag nagstop na sya, yung mags nya umiikot. Naka-stop ka na, umiikot pa din, grabe, sosyal. Wala daw ganun dito, siya lang ang meron. Si Jennylyn Mercado naman, normal lang yung sasakyan niya pero masinop siya. Talagang may basurahan kada row ng upuan, kanya kanya,” discloses Tessbomb. Kolek Ka Dyan! One of the most entertaining segments of SIS is Kolek Ka Dyan! Featuring various collections of artists that range from the most trivial things like clips and clothes to the most expensive toys and tokens that we can think of, SIS presents a more colorful side of the showbiz industry. The concept is to feature the stars' collections to the rest of the Filipinos. Being in the limelight, the stars usually show off what their weaknesses are when it comes to collecting their personal treasures. “Yang Kolek ka dyan, dito ka makakita ng mga shoes na worth P30,000 and up at pwedeng mong isangla!” shares Tessbomb. Even she has been bitten by the collection bug and started her own collection. “Ay marami akong stuffed toys at aso. Yung aso ko ten, dalawang rottweiler, Japanese Spitz, Beagle, Chihuahua, Pomeranian, iba-iba marami. Ayoko ng parepareho, gusto ko ng iba-iba,” says the Kolek Ka Dyan host. Even the SISters have their own collections; Janice collects giraffes and the CDs that their guests have given them since the show started while Gelli likes to collect books. Carmina on the other hand has her Winnie the Pooh collectibles, stationeries since grade school, magnets, and pictures of friends and family. SIS Kikay Ka Talaga! This segment exposes the artists’ vanity kits. Discover what the stars have in their bags and what they are using to look beautiful and fresh on and off camera. Some artists have the basic make-up kits in their bags but some bring with them a luggage full of cosmetics and brushes to prep themselves for their shows. One good example is Carmina. She allowed us to see her kikay kit and proudly told us that her husband, Zoren Legaspigave it to her as a gift. Literally a piece of luggage, the contraption has a built-in mirror with bulbs around it for better lighting. So there you have it, these are just some of SIS’ segments that bring us a few steps closer to the stars. Expect more surprises as the show go along because the hosts and staff of SIS are constantly on the lookout for ways to make our mornings better and more interesting.
