sitti navarro renewal of wedding vows

Bossa nova singer and "Para Sa Akin" hitmaker Sitti Navarro had her own bridal moment once again as she renewed her vows with her husband, Joey Ramirez, on their 10th wedding anniversary, with their two daughters as the flower girls.

We're used to hearing Sitti Navarro's hit "Para Sa Akin" filling wedding halls, but this time, she made it her own special moment by renewing her wedding vows with husband, Joey Ramirez, with whom she shares two daughters, after 10 years.

The couple reaffirmed their love and commitment to each other in May 2025 at the Baguio Country Club in Baguio City, where they originally tied the knot. She recently recounted the meaningful event in a Facebook post, sharing the reason behind the celebration.

She began her post, asking: "“Ten years pa lang nag-renew na kayo??” “Nag-e-expire pala ang marriage?”"

Sitti continued, "I had two reasons for wanting to renew our marriage in our tenth year: first, so our girls would see Joey and I recommitting to our covenant, and two, I selfishly wanted to see them walk down the aisle with us as our flower girls.

"This was just wishful thinking, but when I floated the idea to Joey, he said that he also wanted to have a renewal of vows. Eh submissive ako and so in May of last year, in front of our closest family and friends, we did."

Alongside the post are the photos from the couple's renewal of vows, also showing their daughters, Issiah Dañelle and Osseah Lucille, as their flower girls.

Sitti also said that she and Joey would "most likely renew our vows again in our 20th year.. by God's grace and favor. Pero baka sa bahay na lang hahaha."

The bossa nova singer then revealed that this actually marked their third time renewing their wedding vows as she looked back on how heartfelt the occasion came to be. "Joey and I have actually renewed our vows three times already, at the couples' retreats that we have joined."

"It is always the most precious and heart-tugging thing, to look into your husband's eyes and to repeat the words you first said at your wedding, and to feel in your heart that yes, Lord, I still want to be married to this man, I still commit to loving him faithfully until the day I die, and I'm so grateful that he, likewise, has not given up on me and still takes me to be his wife."

She concluded the post with a touching reflection on the meaning of marriage. She said, "Marriage is a glimpse of heaven, of being loved and forgiven, of being spoken for, of being claimed. It is a calling that God puts in the hearts of certain individuals, not all, and I pray for grace for all of us to see our covenants through till the end."

Sitti's career took off in the 2000s when she became recognized as the “Queen of Philippine Bossa Nova.” Her debut album, “Café Bossa” (2004), brought her mainstream success, with hits like "Para Sa Akin" and "Tattooed on My Mind".
