Celebrity couple Slater Young and Kryz Uy took to social media and shared that their 7-week-old baby, Sevi, was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia and has to undergo surgery as soon as possible.

In a YouTube vlog posted on Sunday, July 17, Kryz shared the details about her youngest son's health condition.

"Unfortunately, we discovered that Sevi has [an] inguinal hernia and it needs to be operated on," Kryz shared.

Kryz clarified that the said operation is not a rare one, but what makes it difficult is that her son is just seven weeks old.

"It's not a super rare operation (Thank God), but because he is just 7 weeks old, I can't bear putting him under this much physical and emotional stress," Kryz stated in the caption of her vlog.

"Whenever he cries, it triggers the hernia to bulge out and I know he's not supposed to experience pain when that happens but it still hurts my heart to see it," she said.

Kryz also shared in the vlog, "An inguinal hernia occurs when tissue, such as part of the intestine protrudes through a weak spot in the abdominal muscles."

Even though their doctors expressed confidence about the surgery, Kryz still worries about her son's medical condition.

"And syempre as a mom, you can imagine how wrecked I feel. I've been researching Inguinal Hernias all week, and I even watched some actual operation footage which probably wasn't the best idea," the 32-year-old celebrity mom shared.

Kryz and Slater tied the knot in 2019 and they welcomed their second son, Sevi, in May while their eldest son, Scott Knoa, is now two years old.
