We all know Solenn Heussaff as a fab and fierce woman that serves as a #fitspiration to us all.
But did you guys know that this wasn't always the case? In her fitness and health guide, "Hot Sos," Solenn openly admitted that she was once a victim of bullying because of her weight.
According to Solenn, "You know how everyone gets a nickname as a kid? Here's a secret -- mine wasn't always Sos. -- I was super confident, so I didn't really care. In my delusional head, I was the hottest thing alive... until I turned fifteen and the kids at school gave me my nickname: Free Willy."
In her teenage years, her schoolmates called her "Free Willy" in reference to the killer whale in the movie of the same name.
"'Free Willy! You're sooo gross,' my classmates would say. The bullying led me to crash diet and I got really sick -- as in rushed-to-the-hospital sick," the Kapuso actress recalled.
Although Solenn was able to shed the fat and that nickname away, her change in lifestyle wasn't driven by the need to be thin.
"Even after sticking to a healthy lifestyle for a while now, exercising is still an everyday struggle for me. To be honest, the only thing that keeps me going is my goal. I don't work out to be skinny -- I do it to be healthy," Solenn shared.
