Solenn Heussaff is passionate about cleaning the country from trash, so for the 120th Independence Day, she shares a way to show love for the Philippines.

In a previous post, Solenn was able to share her thoughts on the environmental issue of waste disposal. She further continued her advocacy by urging Filipinos to be responsible inhabitants as a way to show dedication for the country.

Solenn discoursed on her website, “It’s going to be our 120th Independence Day in a few days, so I think this is the best time to bring this up. You know how when a Pinoy becomes successful abroad, even if they’re just like 1/4 Filipino, everyone is like YES #PINOYPRIDE! Not that that’s a bad thing. But if you’re loving what our fellow Filipinos are doing everywhere else in the world, are you also doing what you can to love your country itself? I’m not talking about loving the people who live in it, but caring about the actual place you live in.”

Solenn came up with three simple ways to care for the environment. She said, “Don’t litter, education litterers, and to minimize the trash.”

The Kapuso star believes that we should always care for our country as this is our home. “Don’t forget that for most of us, we only get one home and that’s the Philippines. So let’s treat it exactly like we would our own homes—with respect and care. Happy Independence Day, everyone.”
