Song Hye-kyo

Have you already watched the gripping performance of Song Hye-kyo?

Top South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo touched the hearts of her fans across the globe by posting a handwritten letter in her Instagram Story to express her gratitude for their incredible support for The Glory.

In the hit K-drama series, Hye-kyo portrayed the role of Moon Dong-eun, a high school student who suffered intense bullying in her school and was exacting revenge on her tormentors.

Korean entertainment site Soompi translated the message written in Korean into English.

Hye-kyo wrote, “The time I spent with 'The Glory' was an honor to me! Thank you for loving Moon Dong Eun and 'The Glory'!! Sincerely! March 2023, from Moon Dong Eun.”

The other cast members including Lee Do-hyun and Lim Ji-yeon also wrote their own handwritten messages, which were posted in the Instagram account of Netflix Korea.

Part two of The Glory was aired on March 10, but until today (April 4) the series has occupied the second spot in the category of most-watched TV show in Netflix Philippines.

In an online exclusive uploaded on Netflix Korea, Song Hye-kyo discussed her thoughts on portraying the older version of Dong-eun.

“Firstly, after I got the role of Dong-eun, I didn't think of looking pretty at all.

“She didn't have the time or energy to take care of her appearance like that. I thought maybe she isn't taking care of herself too much as a human being, but it seemed like something Dong-eun would do, so I really didn't worry about things like that in this drama.”
