The upcoming collaboration project between GMA Network and Wattpad, “Luv Is: Caught In His Arms,” became a hot topic online among fans of the original series after the TV adaptation was announced last June 2022.

Furthermore, fans of the Kapuso love team Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay added to the hype when it was revealed that the two will star as the show's leads. “Luv Is: Caught In His Arms” also serves as the debut series for a number of Sparkada stars, namely, Vince Maristela, Sean Lucas, Raheel Bhyria, Michael Sager, Cheska Fausto, Kirsten Gonzales, Tanya Ramos, and Caitlyn Stave.

In an online press conference held last August 31, Sparkada Boys and “Luv Is: Caught In His Arms” stars Vince Maristela, Sean Lucas, and Raheel Bhyria talked about the challenges they faced as new faces in the industry when they filmed the series.

Despite being a former child star, Vince admitted that he found it difficult to adjust to life on set. "'Yung challenge po na na-encounter ko sa taping was hindi ako sanay na sa environment [ganoon] like antagal na po 'nung nagka-shoot ako [noon] so parang naninibago ako sa environment.

"Tapos doon sa character ko naman, medyo nahirapan nang onti na hindi kasi 'yung role ko doon is I'm a 'Kuya' kila Raheel and Sean and sa totoong buhay, parang nila akong kuya. Medyo napadili 'yung work lalo na close kaming mga boys, actually lahat ng cast."

As for Sean who's the designated happy-go-lucky guy of Sparkada, he was surprised to find himself acting quite nervous in front of the camera for the first time.

"Nahirapan talaga ako kasi 'yung una kong salang and sa character ko, siya 'yung makulit, siya 'yung maingay, nahirapan ako 'nung first day ko kasi sobrang stiff ko sa harap ng camera. Since ako nga 'yung makulit, dapat sobrang loose ko, masaya lang ako. Pero with the help of Sofia, Allen, and all the veteran actors sa set, tsaka 'yung workshops na binigay sa'kin ng Sparkle, sobrang nakatulong siya na ma-break ko 'yon," he said.

Lastly, for Raheel, the young actor said that even though he found his role quite challenging, he believes that it prepared him to take on more difficult projects in the future.

According to Raheel, "Since kakatapos lang ng 'Luv Is' and very challenging din 'yung role, sa tingin ko 'yun na rin 'yung stepping stone for me to do harder roles sa next projects.

"'Yung character ko po doon is [may pagka] playboy so I really had to ask my friend kung paano maging ganoon [laughs] so medyo nahirapan talaga ako sa role. Pero thankful ako."

Armed with the knowledge they gained from Sparkle's acting workshops plus with the support of their co-stars, Vince, Sean, and Raheel were eventually able to overcome each of their challenges and succeeded in portraying their roles.
