Here is the official statement of Sparkle:
OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM SPARKLE GMA ARTIST CENTER
Sparkle GMA Artist Center strongly warns parents and guardians about a serious sexual exploitation scheme targeting minors. Fraudulent individuals are using fake accounts under the name “CALOY LAPIRA”—an official Metro Manila Talent Scout of Sparkle—to pose as talent scouts, casting agents, or directors affiliated with Sparkle GMA Artist Center and GMA Network.
These scammers initiate contact by offering fake audition or acting opportunities, then arrange video call “interviews” that escalate into sexual exploitation, instructing minors to undress under the pretext of a required “body check procedure.” We will NEVER ask anyone to take their clothes off for auditions.
This incident has been reported to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG). Sparkle engages talents only through official channels and will pursue legal action against perpetrators. If you have information to help identify these individuals, please contact the authorities immediately. Protect our children.
