Marco Masa, Liana Mae, Princess Aliyah in Sparkle U

Princess Aliyah on 'Sparkle U: Ghosted': "Madaming matututunan sa show namin."

Being a youth-oriented show, it's no surprise if Gen-Zs will be able to see themselves in the characters of Sparkle U: Ghosted, the newest series of the youth-oriented anthology. The series stars Marco Masa, Liana Mae, and Princess Aliyah shared just how the youth will be able to relate to their characters and the story.

During their interview on the GMA Regional TV morning show Mornings with GMA Regional TV, Marco shared that his character, Leon, is the nerdy but kind best friend of Alessi, played by Sofia Pablo.

Liana, on the other hand, plays the role of Sela. Describing her character, she said, “Ako po 'yung ginhost pero magiging kaibigan ko po dito sa Alesi, pero meron pong mangyayari so abangan.”

Princess plays the role of wannabe vlogger Raeka, who is the best friend of Sela.

“Very kikay, sweet, like me, and very bibo,” she said, describing her character.

Asked how the younger generation will be able to relate with their new series, Lianna said that they should be able to relate on how their characters deal with problems.

“Kasi po na hindi natin ma-share sa iba, which is sa Ghosted po, meron po siyang problema din ma siguro nasabi niya sa mga friends niya, and 'yung mga friends niya po 'yung nakatulong sa kaniya,” she said.

She added that just like with the generation today, their characters are more open to talking about their problems with their friends.

Princess feels like the Gen-Zs watching the series will be able to relate to how the characters handle different problems, mostly the ones concerning school and family.

“Mga problema sa school. Siyempre hindi lang sa school, pati sa pamilya, family problems na feeling ko, mga struggles din ng mga teenagers like us,” she said.

The teen actress added, “Madaming matututunan sa show namin.”

The series also stars Allen Ansay, and Ruffa Mae Quinto.
