Congratulations, Lee Yoo-mi!
Korean actress Lee Yoo-mi was hailed as the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Player 240 in Netflix's Squid Game at the 2022 Creative Arts Primetime Emmy Awards.
Yoo-mi also made history as she became the first-ever Korean actress to bag the said Emmy award.
The Korean series Squid Game also became the first non-English language series ever to be nominated for Outstanding Drama Series at the Emmy Awards, alongside other western popular shows such as Stranger Things and Euphoria.
Yoo-mi also starred in another popular Korean series, All Of Us Are Dead, which was filmed at the same time as Squid Game.
