
The accolades for the hit Netflix series Squid Game continues to pour in after the show bagged two major awards in the 2022 Emmy Awards, held in Los Angeles, California last September 12 (US Time).

Lead actor Lee Jung-jae, who played Gi-hun, won the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series--the first Asian actor to claim the award.
Last February, Jung-jae also won the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Meanwhile, Squid Game director Hwang Dong-hyuk received the award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series in this year's Emmys.
