How do their former co-competitors of the Ultimate Survivors feel about the results of this season’s StarStruck? iGMA finds out.
The Ultimate Survivors are now celebrating their victory and basking in the glory. How do their former co-competitors feel about the results of this season’s StarStruck? iGMA finds out.
On March 25, 2007, the Marikina Sports Center became a melting pot of
StarStruck talents as all the batches’ brightest gathered to celebrate the culmination of
StarStruck: The Next Level.

Everyone, especially this season’s contestants, was excited. “Kakaibang experience (ang StarStruck)” Stef Prescott shares. Her excitement, however, is matched by a certain amount of tension. “Pero siguro mas nakakakaba kapag ikaw yung nakasama sa Final Six” she adds.
However, the Survivor Six were not the only ones feeling the tension. “Nung ia-announce na ‘yung winners, pati kaming Avengers kinakabahan”
Lizzy Pecson notes, smiling at the thought of it.
After a series of excellent production numbers, the competition finally reached its conclusion and the Ultimate Winners were proclaimed:
Aljur Abrenica was the Ultimate Hunk,
Jewel Mische became the Ultimate Sweetheart and
Mart Escudero and
Kris Bernal won the Ultimate Love Team.
Prince Stefan and
Rich Asuncion, meanwhile, were named the batch’s First Prince and Princess respectively.
Council member and talent manager Douglas Quijano says “(the result of the competition was) the best decision for everyone.” But do this year’s Avengers share the same sentiment?
“They are all deserving”
Paulo Avelino quickly replies, reinforcing the well-respected council member’s idea. Most of the Avengers also felt the same way, confident the Survivor Six gave their all to win a title. “Masaya po kami para sa kanila kasi nakuha nila ‘yung gusto nila”
Jesi Corcuera says.
“Dapat ako ‘yung nandoon eh”
Dex Quindoza jokes with a laugh. He immediately rebounds though, “sana magtuluy-tuloy pa ‘yung career nila.”
Unexpected

Before the judgment night, the Avengers and some of the former StarStruck contenders were asked about their bets. Find out who their favorites are in another story to be posted within this week. For now, take a look at what the other Avengers think.
Renee Lascuña generously congratulated the winners, but can’t help but express her surprise. “Masaya ako para sa kanila, kaya lang may konti akong pagtataka sa mga twists,” shesays. “Medyo hindi nga lang po ako naging masaya sa Sweetheart saka sa Hunk, but I’m still happy because alam naman ng mga judges and jurors ang ginagawa nila” she adds.

A similar view was expressed by
Hazel Uy and
Jan Manual who thought Prince Stefan and Rich Asuncion will secure themselves Ultimate Titles. “It turned out to be really unexpected,” Hazel says. “Nagulat ako na si Prince hindi nakakuha ng title, pero okay lang naman din,” Jan agrees.
Chad Burden states a reason why his favorites did not get the Ultimate Titles: “Siguro people think different than me and the judges also, so wala akong magawa.” Nevertheless, he says, “pero I’m happy naman for the winners, good luck sa kanila.”
This year’s
StarStruck journey may be over, but the real showbiz life has only started for this new batch of stars. Keep posted to iGMA.tv for more on these young talents. --
