K-pop girl group STAYC is back in the scene to relive the feeling and vibe of summer with their single “I WANT IT” and a special album of the same name.
In an exclusive video interview with GMANetwork.com, STAYC talked about the message they hoped to send to their fans, as well as their thoughts when they recorded their newest single.
STAYC's vocalist SUMIN talked about the track's message and said: “We want to share a message through the lyrics 'Good thing's, we okay,' which means that everything will be okay.”
Meanwhile, SIEUN told GMANetwork.com with pride that this special release differs from their previous projects in terms of concept.
“First of all, I think the concept itself is completely different from the previous album. In our last album, we showed a very bold concept; this time, we're showing
a refreshing and bubbly concept,” said SIEUN. “Also, we're back with a summer song for summer.”
According to ISA, “I WANT IT” immediately captured the members through its beats: “I felt the first beat was intense. Since the lyrics, 'I WANT IT,' are repetitive, I thought it'd be great if we could make a key choreography for it.”
STAYC's special album I WANT IT is now out on various streaming platforms. It consists of three songs: “I WANT IT,” “BOY,” and “Honestly.”
With STAYC's newest project and continuous rise in the industry, the members overflowed with gratitude for the love and support of their fans, SWITHs, including those from the Philippines.
They also sent a special message to Filipino SWITHs.
“Philippine SWITH, we're back with I WANT IT. I hope you have a cool summer this year, listening to “I WANT IT,” said STAYC's J.
“We will go to the Philippines soon,” she added.
