TV-movie actress Sue Ramirez is staying positive as their family faces a difficult challenge involving her mom. Sue's mother, Concepcion “Chit” Garina, needs an open-heart surgery.

A few days ago, Sue asked for blood donations for her Mommy Chit, who was supposed to be in surgery yesterday (January 7), but in a new update on Instagram she stated that her mom contracted pneumonia.

According to mayoclinic.org, pneumonia is an infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs. The air sacs may fill with fluid or pus (purulent material), causing cough with phlegm or pus, fever, chills, and difficulty breathing.

Because of this, the operation of Sue's mother has been postponed.

Sharing her mom's hardship, Sue asked for prayers that she quickly recovers from pneumonia.

“My mom's operation was postponed because she developed pneumonia. Her lungs need to be in good condition for the surgery to push through.”

The actress continued, “Please continue to pray for her health and healing. That her lungs recover fully, that she gains the strength she needs for the operation, and that her mind and body be ready to endure the pain of recovery. We also pray that she gets well soon so we can finally take her home.”
