Sugar Mercado successfully does the 'Nicki Minaj pose' twice.
Dancer, host, and beauty queen Sugar Mercado spread good vibes as she hopped on a popular trend on TikTok.
Sugar attempted do to the "Nicki Minaj pose" which requires one to squat with one leg over the other while wearing high heels.
For her first attempt, she perched on a bannister while wearing bright yellow platform shoes.
Sugar held the pose while also carrying a broom, dustpan, and spray bottle.
Sugar's followers requested her to do the challenge with a slimmer heel so her second attempt saw her wearing stiletto mesh boots.
She carefully balanced on the kitchen counter over two pots stacked on top of each other. Sugar also carried a purse and an umbrella.
Sugar Mercado revealed that her daughters Gab and Olivia helped in the set up and filming of her two attempts.
Aside from challenging herself, she also wanted to send good vibes to her followers who might be affected by the bad weather.
"Mapasaya lang po kayo sa panahon ng bagyo. Ingat po. Love you. God is good all the time. Tiwala lang po sa Kanya," she wrote on the video.
The "Nicki Minaj pose" challenge stemmed from the music video of the 2013 song "High School" where the singer is seen posing by a swimming pool with one leg over the other, carefully balancing on high heels.
TikTokers did their own takes by balancing on just one foot and perching on makeshift platforms such as beer cans, dumbbells, fences, and railings. Some even increased the challenge's difficulty by balancing something on their head or holding on to several props.
Meanwhile, Sugar Mercado recently competed in the Mrs. Philippines International 2025 pageant as Mrs. Quezon City.
She was crowned Mrs. Philippines Universe and will represent the country in the upcoming Mrs. Universe 2025 pageant in October.
