Summer MMFF postponed


Inanunsyo ng Metro Manila Film Festival na ipagpapaliban muna nito ang kauna-unahang summer edition ng kapistahan dahil sa coronavirus pandemic

Opisyal na inanunsyo ng Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) ang pagpapaliban ng kauna-unahang summer edition nito kahapon, March 12, 2020.

Isinaad ito sa kanilang official Facebook account pagkatapos ianunsyo ni President Duterte na ilalagay muna sa “community quarantine” ang Metro Manila dahil sa coronavirus pandemic.

Ayon sa post, “In light of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and health emergency, the Summer Metro Manila Film Festival is hereby postponed.

“We'll keep you posted for more updates in the coming days. Thank you.”

Ang Summer Metro Manila Film Festival ay dapat gaganapin ngayong April 11 hanggang April 21.

May walong entries ang pumasok sa nasabing film festival kabilang na ang pelikula nina Dingdong Dantes na A Hard Day kasama si John Arcilla; ang pelikula ni Martin del Rosario, EA Guzman, at Shaira Diaz na Coming Home; ang pelikula ni Nora Aunor kasama si Sanya Lopez na Isa Pang Bahaghari; at ang pelikula ni Janine Gutierrez at ni Paulo Avelino na Ngayon Kaya.

Sa official announcement wala pang isinasaad ang MMFF kung kailan ang bagong schedule kung kailan gaganapin ang summer film festival.
