For a safe and hassle-free summer, GMA News recently launched “I M Ready: Paghahanda sa Summer."

An interactive, multi-media campaign that urges the public to be ready, this series of plugs and reports gives viewers practical tips on how to prepare for various emergency situations using the three M’s –
Magplano, Magsiguro, Makibalita – as guide.
The “I M Ready: Paghahanda sa Summer” campaign shares some tips on avoiding diseases and conditions common during the season like sore eyes, heat stroke, sunburn, chicken pox and diarrhea; and on preparing for trouble-free vacations.
For those traveling to the provinces this Holy Week and the rest of the summer break, there are tips about car check and maintenance and what to pack.
Viewers are also encouraged to send their own “I M Ready” tips and video entries through GMA News’ twitter account (hashtag: #imready) and YouScoop page (www.youscoop.tv). The campaign also has a web counterpart via www.gmanews.tv/imready.
Launched last year, the Anvil award-winning “I M Ready” series has previously presented tips to prepare for floods and typhoons through the “I M Ready: Alerto sa Tag-Ulan” campaign. Its second wave, “I M Ready: Alerto sa Lindol,” focused on emergency preparedness during earthquakes.
