Sunshine Cruz took immediate action to correct the false information being spread online about her and her children.

Sunshine and ex-partner Cesar Montano have three children namely, Angelina, Sam, and Chesca.

On Facebook, the former Kapag Nahati Ang Puso star posted screenshots of several fake news and social media posts from Facebook and YouTube about her.

“FAKE NEWS po ang lahat ng ito guys fyi.” Sunshine stressed.

She added, “These accounts are not legit and they make up stories for views. Every click from us ay kumikita sila kaya nagkakalat sila ng mga imbentong kwento usually dito sa FB at sa Youtube. Huwag po tayo basta maniwala sa mga gawa gawang kwento. If you guys happen to see these articles at mapadaan sa feed nyo, kindly report if you can para mabawasan ang mga nagpapakalat ng #fakenews sa social media. Thank you! P.S. Maraming salamat sa mga nag tag at nagpadala sakin ng info and articles."

In a separate post, Sunshine expressed her frustration that even her three daughters weren't spared. “Few weeks ago binubugbog, nakulong o nasa hospital daw ako, ngayon buntis naman ako or ang mga anak ko.”

“Surprisingly, marami ang naniniwala na totoo itong mga ganitong klase ng kwento. Kaloka si meta at youtube. Monetized pa ang mga ito kaya padami ng padami ang nagpapakalat ng fake news.”
