Super Junior's Eunhyuk shares his grief about losing his father and his thoughts about marriage
Korean singer Eunhyuk of Super Junior talked openly for the first time about his father Lee Kang-heon's recent death.
On October 25, Eunhyuk was a special guest for the Argentinian show, Fuerza Bruta.
Before the show, Eunhyuk had an interview with Sports Seoul, wherein he expressed his feelings about his father's sudden passing from a car accident, which happened right before Super Junior's Manila concert in August.
During Eunhyuk's interview, he confessed, "I haven't overcome it yet. Even now, when I'm alone, I sometimes cry."
"I think I will live with it as a burden on my heart for the rest of my life. I still can't organize it. Fortunately, there are many good people around. Members, staff members, and fans... I feel grateful for their existence."
"I did everything I could to forget my sadness. Just in time, a proposal was made to appear in the performance of Fuerza Bruta.
He also revealed that his father's death made him think of getting married someday.
"After losing my father, I hope to get married."
He also mentioned that some of their fans who used to be in high school when they debuted in 2005, are now mothers who bring their kids during fan meetings and concerts.
"I am jealous that fans are maintaining their lives well by spending time with us, sharing memories, and enjoying them. I think we should create a family zone for the 'Super Show' audience soon."
Eunhyuk also mentioned his co-artist under SM Entertainment, TVXQ's Changmin, inspired him to be more prepared to have his own family.
"Changmin recently became a father, and he was truly cool and respectful. After my father died, I also wanted to make my own family and show it to my mother. I'm not sure who will go first among our members yet," Eunhyuk said.
Eunhyuk's father's death and Siwon's COVID-19 diagnosis lead to the postponement of their concert in Manila, with the members minus Eunhyuk and Siwon still coming to Manila to personally apologize to their fans.
Prior to his passing, Eunhyuk's father, also known as Papa Lee, has made public appearances on programs like KBS2's Mr. House Husband Season 2 and on Eunhyuk's YouTube channel.
