Three members of Super Junior have ended their contracts with SM Entertainment.

South Korean boy band Super Junior members Donghae, Eunhyuk, and Kyuhyun have officially parted ways with SM Entertainment.

According to the announcement of the said record label and entertainment agency on Friday, July 14, the three K-pop stars have decided not to renew their contracts to pursue their individual careers but will continue to work with the agency for group activities.

“Eunhyuk, Donghae and Kyuhyun have decided to embark on their solo activities separately from SM Entertainment… We will be cheering the three of them on as they take on new challenges, and we plan to communicate closely with them so that they can effectively carry out both their group activities and their solo activities at the same time,” SM stated.

Meanwhile, other Super Junior members Leeteuk, Kim Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Choi Siwon, and Ryeowook have all renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment.

In 2005, the group debuted under the name “Super Junior 05,” making them the first generation of the boy group project. A year later, SM Entertainment abandoned the rotational concept, and the group became known as “Super Junior.”

The popular Korean boy band is set to return to Manila for a fun party on July 21, 2023.
