Super Junior member Kangin just gave fans a heartfelt update on his life over the past decade through his unreleased song “Love is Pain.”
In an exclusive interview with GMA Network.com, the K-pop singer revealed the story behind “Love is Pain,” openly sharing his heart with fans as he returned to the stage.
“Actually, the Love is Pain that I sang today was not the finished version yet. I am continuously editing the lyrics that I wrote,” he said.
“And by writing this song, I was able to realize how different the time that passed by. I really forgot to value the things around me, so it made me feel sorry and apologetic for the actions I've done and the wrongdoings I have also done,” he added.
Looking back, Kangin said that this unreleased song allowed him to fully express himself.
“I was able to realize once again that the love and support that I was able to receive before was such a great thing, such a valuable thing for me,” he expressed.
Through the song, Kangin expressed his gratitude for his fans' unwavering support since day one and throughout his fan meeting.
He performed “Love is Pain” for the Filo ELFs during his “Stunning Together” 2026 fan meeting at the SkyDome, SM City North Edsa on January 11.
Kangin first rose to fame in 2005 as a vocalist of Super Junior, known for hits like “Sorry, Sorry” and “Mr. Simple.” He officially left the group in 2019.
In 2023, Kangin renewed his contract with SM Entertainment and has since hosted several television shows, including “Real Men” and “Law of the Jungle.”
