More than a decade later, Super Junior member Kangin still feels the unwavering support and love of his Filipino fans.
The South Korean star reconnected with Filo ELFs during the “Stunning Together” 2026 fan meeting tour at the SkyDome, SM City North Edsa on January 11.
The event marked Kangin's first solo fan meeting in the Philippines and his return to the country after more than a decade. It also served as the first stop of his fan meeting tour, making the moment even more memorable for him.
Aside from the Philippines, Kangin is also set to reconnect with fans in Vietnam and Mexico.
After a night filled with singing, dancing, games, and intimate interactions with fans, Kangin turned emotional as he reflected on the past 10 years he spent away from the spotlight.
“I actually have a long period of rest, right? And for the first fan meet I had last year, at least you know, for 10 years, I was able to stand myself on the stage,” he said.
He admitted he had many hesitations about holding a fan meeting, saying he felt extremely nervous yet also excited.
“I feel emotions which I can't really pertain which emotional feeling. But among all the emotions that I had, one thing that came to me, the realization, if it was not all because of you, I wouldn't still be here. That's the biggest thought I have,” Kangin added.
He also shared that while many things in his life have changed over the past decade, one thing has remained the same: the unwavering support and patience of his Filipino fans who waited for his return.
Grateful for their love, Kangin said their support gave him the courage to return to the stage.
“Sobra po ako naging masaya ngayon at naisip ko rin na I really want to create a very happy memory, a happy moment for everyone, but I am kind of worried that I wasn't able to do that for everyone,” he expressed.
“But opposite on that, you gave me such a wonderful memory. Kung gaano n'yo po ako hinintay, mas lalo po akong magsisikap,” Kangin promised.
Filo ELFs were also treated to special performances, including Kangin's unreleased song “Love Is Pain” and “Call My Name,” a track he had yet to perform on stage. Fans also enjoyed an intimate Hi/Bye session with the South Korean star.
Kangin first rose to fame in 2005 as a vocalist of Super Junior, known for hit songs such as “Sorry, Sorry” and “Mr. Simple.” He officially left the group in 2019.
In 2023, Kangin renewed his contract with SM Entertainment and has since hosted several television shows, including Real Men and Law of the Jungle.
