Actress Susan Africa marked the eighth death anniversary of her husband, the late veteran actor Spanky Manikan, with a heartfelt tribute.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, actress Susan Africa honored the memory of her husband, Spanky Manikan, on his eighth death anniversary and requested prayers from friends and followers.

“Please remember Spanky in your prayers as today is his eight anniversary in heaven,” Susan wrote in her post.

Through her post, Susan shared that there hasn't been a day without her missing Spanky, the man she still calls her ' dearest Pangga.'

“It has been eight years since you left us, my dearest Pangga, but we still miss you every second of each day,” Susan said.

“You will forever be in our hearts,” she continued.

Susan also offered a prayer for her husband, who is now in the hands of the Almighty, where she hopes he is “infinitely happy and at peace.”

“I pray and hope that you are infinitely happy and at peace, dancing and singing with God and the angels,” she wrote.

To close her message, Susan emphasized Spanky's legacy and the “great love” he shared with his family and friends: “Your legacy of excellence and great love for family and friends will live on forever.”

Spanky Manikan, who passed away in 2018 due to lung cancer, was widely regarded as one of the excellent veteran actors in the Philippines. He was celebrated for his "legacy of excellence," particularly for his award-winning roles in films like Maynila sa Kuko ng Liwanag, Ploning, Bona, and Himala and his extensive work in Philippine theater.
