GMA dishes out yet another unique drama series on Afternoon Prime next week -- The Half Sisters.

Teen actresses Barbie Forteza and Thea Tolentino will be playing rivals in the series, while Kapuso cuties Derrick Monasterio and Andre Paras will be their leading men.

Barbie and Derrick have previously been paired in Paroa: Ang Kuwento ni Mariposa, Genesis and Anna Karenina. Thea has also worked with them in Anna Karenina, where she played a kontrabida role. The Half Sisters will be Andre’s first teleserye.

As reported by Balitanghali, Derrick said that viewers could look forward to a lot of cute and sweet moments in the series.

Andre said the thought of acting in his first teleserye makes him nervous, but he is excited to learn more and work with the rest of the cast.

To become an even more effective kontrabida, Thea took it upon herself to attend more acting workshops.

The Half Sisters will be airing starting this Monday, June 9, after Eat Bulaga on GMA Afternoon Prime, replacing Villa Quintana.
