American singer SZA pays homage to Quentin Tarantino's film series in her music video for her single "Kill Bill"
The track's title is inspired by the films Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003) and Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004).
In the 4-minute music video, SZA plays a character left by her lover, which leads to her seeking revenge.
Directed by Christian Breslauer, SZA gets picked up by actress Vivica A. Fox, who played Vernita Green (code name: Copperhead) in the original 2003 film. Vivica helps SZA prepare for training. Inspired by Kill Bill character O-Ren Ishii, SZA learns how to use swords. She has the sweetest revenge as she pulls her ex's heart out.
The music video's outro teases a “Search and Destroy” music video coming soon -- showing SZA naked and tied up hostage.
The R&B song has also surged to No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart and has surpassed 150 million global streams on Spotify. It is also among TikTok's viral songs used in videos.
