Darren Wang is currently facing serious legal allegations.
Taiwanese actor Darren Wang, best known for his rom-com film Our Times, is reportedly under investigation for alleged attempted murder after returning to Taiwan from a trip.
According to reports, the actor booked a car ride upon arriving at Taiwan Taoyuan airport. He allegedly assaulted the driver and the dispatcher after expressing frustration over the vehicle's poor quality.
The police have turned over the actor and another man, identified by the surname You, to the authorities for an investigation over alleged attempted murder, according to TVBS. However, further details about the case remain unclear.
Amid the investigation, Darren's manager released a short statement saying, "We are still trying to understand the situation. Thank you."
Previously, Darren was arrested by Taiwanese authorities for allegedly avoiding military service, which he is set to enlist in on March 13.
Reports revealed that the actor was taken into custody on February 18 and was released on bail of nearly NT$150,000 (about PhP260,000) the same day.
The Taiwanese actor was accused of paying around NT$1 million (about PhP1.7 million) for falsified medical documents stating he had a heart condition to secure an exemption.
