Sino nga ba ang may-ari ng 'Eat Bulaga'? Alamin ang sagot ng isa sa mga pioneer ng show na si Tito Sotto.

May ginawang paglilinaw ang isa sa mga pioneer ng Eat Bulaga na si Tito Sotto kaugnay sa mga naging pahayag ni Mayor Bullet Jalosjos sa programang Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.

Sa one-on-one interview ni Tito sa podcast show na Updated with Nelson Canlas, natanong ang seasoned TV host kung sino nga ba ang nagma-may ari ng Eat Bulaga.

Paliwanag ni Tito Sen, “If it is a copyright issue, definitely, it is owned by Joey de Leon and the three of us (Tito Sotto and Vic Sotto). Siya 'yung nag-imbento ng pangalan, e."

Sinundan ito ni Nelson ng tanong na “Pina-copyright n'yo sa IPO?”. Ang tinutukoy ni Nelson na IPO ay ang Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines.

Ang Intellectual Property Rights Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) ay ang "government agency mandated to administer and implement State policies on intellectual property (IP) to strengthen the protection of IP rights in the country."

Sagot ni Tito, “That is uncontestable! Copyrighted or not, may mga copyrights sila ng merchandising, ang TAPE, e. Meron din kaming mga naka-file. Pero, immaterial 'yun.

“Ask the lawyers, there is no such thing [na ] ikaw ang pag-aari ngayon, pero ito ang nag-imbento, 'tsaka may-ari sila.

“Hindi pupuwede 'yun. If you are talking about Eat Bulaga, it's owned by Joey de Leon and Tito, Vic, and Joey. Now, if you are asking about TAPE, TAPE is owned by them.”

Paglilinaw ni Nelson, “TAPE is owned by the Jalosjos family.”

Paliwanag uli ng veteran Eat Bulaga host, “The corporation nila na I think 75% Jalosjos family and 25% si Tony [Tuviera]. I don't know what they plan to do with the 25%. As a matter of fact, mali pa nga 'yung sinabi nung member nung board,e . Twenty per cent lang daw. 'Di, 25% is Tony, tig-eight percent 'yung iba. We have the records; we check the records e.”

Matatandaan na sinabi ni Mayor Bullet kay Tito Boy na 20 percent ang hawak na shares ni Mr. Tuviera.

“Our family owns 70% of the company that runs TAPE and runs Eat Bulaga and 20% is Tony Tuviera.”

Sumunod na tanong ni Nelson kay Tito ay kung dati pa ba involved ang Jalosjos family sa pagpapatakbo ng Eat Bulaga. O kung ang mga ito ay tahimik lamang ngunit active na nagma-manage.

"No. It was never that way, it was always Tony and [the] three of us. And we would always consult the production heads, more particularly Jenny Ferre [and] Poochie Rivera, the director,” sagot ni Tito.
