Miss Supranational Philippines Tarah Valencia's third runner-up placement is the closest to the crown the country has been since Pauline Amelinckx.
The world now has a new Miss Supranational after Brazil's representative Eduarda Braum won the crown during the coronation night held on June 27, Poland Time.
Philippine representative Tarah Valencia ended the pageant in the Top 5, clinching the third runner-up position.
Also in the Miss Supranational Top 5 were Miss Supranational Germany Anna Lakrini in the first runner-up position, Miss Supranational Curaçao Quishantely Leito in the second-runner up position, and Miss Supranational Puerto Rico Valerie Klepaldo in the fourth runner-up position.
Tarah clinched her spot with her response in the question-and-answer portion of the Top 5, where she encouraged young women to lift themselves through positive affirmations.
“A lot of individuals would always bring you down. But I say this because I was able to experience this, I was able to battle this by giving myself positive affirmations such as 'I am worthy', 'I am capable', and 'I can do anything through my power and through my own voice.' That's what every individual should do to have their own self-worth,” she said.
Congratulations have already poured in for Tarah, with the The Miss Philippines organization posting a congratulatory graphic on their Instagram account.

Tarah put in a great performance on the way to the coronation night, even making it to the semi-finals of the Miss Supranational Supra Model of the Year challenge.
Filipino fans also showed up in force to propel Tarah up the rankings, with their votes placing Tarah in the Miss Supranational Fan Vote leaderboard alongside the representatives from Guatemala, Indonesia, Korea, Namibia, Thailand, Türkiye, Ukraine, Vietnam, and Zambia.
Up next is Mister Supranational Philippines Kenneth Cabungcal, who will be competing in the finals to be held in Poland on June 28 Poland Time. Just like Tarah, Kenneth has made it onto the Mister Supranational Supra Fan Vote leaderboard.
Kenneth is hoping to perform better than last year's representative, Status by Sparkle star Brandon Espiritu, who placed second runner-up in Mister Supranational.
