Googles: How to be as productive as Taylor Swift during a lockdown? 'Evermore' will drop this noon!

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has announced her second surprise for the year 2020, a new album titled “Evermore!”

Taylor described the 17-track LP as the “sister album” to “Folklore,” her 8th studio album released just this July, and it will be released today, December 11, at noon Philippine Standard Time.

On Instagram, Taylor wrote, “I'm elated to tell you that my 9th studio album, and folklore's sister record, will be out tonight at midnight eastern. It's called evermore.

“To put it plainly, we couldn't stop writing songs. To try and put it more poetically, it feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music. We chose to wander deeper in.”

The 30-year-old singer further said that there's something different with the two albums she's released this year.

“In making it, I felt less like I was departing and more like returning. I loved the escapism I found in these imaginary/not imaginary tales. I loved the ways you welcomed the dreamscapes and tragedies and epic tales of love lost and found in your lives. So I just kept writing them.”

Taylor, who'll be turning 31 on December 13, added that she's excited to release the album as a way to surprise her fans.

She continued in another post, “You've all been so caring, supportive, and thoughtful on my birthdays, and so this time, I thought I would give you something!

“I also know that this holiday season will be a lonely one for most of us, and if there are any of you out there who turn to music to cope with missing loved ones the way I do, this is for you.”

“Evermore” will feature 15 tracks on the standard edition, while the deluxe edition will include two bonus tracks titled “Right Where You Left Me” and “It's Time To Go.”

As if that isn't enough, the singer will also be dropping the music video for the album's first track, “Willow,” together with the album.

Later at noon, Taylor will be opening her chatbox to entertain some questions from fans during the premiere.

Its predecessor, “Folklore,” which was recorded during the coronavirus lockdown by Taylor and her collaborators, earned both critical and commercial success both in the US and the UK charts. The album also secured Taylor Swift with six Grammy nominations in the coming awards night, including album of the year and song of the year.
