A few hours after dropping a surprise teaser, Taylor Swift has released the official music video of “Lavender Haze,” the first song in her chart-topping album, Midnights.

"The Lavender Haze video is out now. There is lots of lavender. There is lots of haze,” Taylor said on Instagram.

The dreamy and whimsical musical video is written and directed by Taylor herself.

“This was the first video I wrote out of the 3 that have been released, and this one really helped me conceptualize the world and mood of Midnights, like a sultry sleepless 70's fever dream,” she continued.

“Lavender Haze” is the third song in Midnights to get a music video, following “Bejeweled” and her record-breaking song, “Anti-Hero.”

Taylor released Midnights, her tenth studio album, last October, which instantly took over the charts around the world.

She dropped Midnights (3 am Edition) a few hours after, which featured seven additional songs, including “Paris,” “Would've, Could've. Should've,” “Bigger Than The Whole Sky,” among others.

Meanwhile, Taylor recently surprised the fans and the attendees of The 1975's concert at The O2 Arena in London with an acoustic performance of “Anti-Hero.”

She also covered The 1975's song, “The City,” from the band's self-titled debut album in 2013.
