Taylor Swift just treated her fans to two new versions of her chart-topping song, “Cruel Summer,” with the release of “The Cruelest Summer.”
“The Cruelest Summer” features a live version of “Cruel Summer” from one of her shows at The Eras Tour and a remix version of the track by LP Giobbi.
“Cruel Summer” is part of Taylor's album Lover, released in 2019.
In an Instagram post, the award-winning singer-songwriter penned her gratitude for the support The Eras Tour Concert Film has been getting.
“What a truly mind-blowing thing you've turned The Eras Tour Concert Film into,” Taylor said.
She added, “One of my favorite things you've done was when you supported Cruel Summer SO much, I ended up starting The Eras Tour show with it.”
Taylor continued that “for old times sake,” she will be releasing the live audio from the tour “so we can all shriek it in the comfort of our homes and cars,” along with the remix by LP Giobbi.
Meanwhile, Taylor is set to drop her version of her album 1989 on October 27.
First released in 2014, 1989 featured hits such as, “Blank Space,” “Shake It Off,” “Bad Blood,” and “Style.”
