What did veteran journalist Teddy Locsin Jr. say about AlDub's performance in their first solo movie? 

Broadcast journalist and former politician Teddy Boy Locsin watched the chick flick Imagine You & Me and has only good words to say about the Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza starrer.

On his Twitter account, he shared what he thinks of the movie, the storyline and its actors. First, he commended the phenomenal love team for their acting.

IMAGINE YOU AND ME is a deft retelling of Rome&Juliet. Alden&Maine are refreshingly natural, not playing characters as living them.

He compared Maine to the Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy award-winning Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston, and lauded Alden’s ability to make one empathize with his character.

Lastly, he declared that the movie will be difficult to top and even compared it to the 1968 Romeo and Juliet film. He described it as ‘sui generis’, a Latin term which translates to ‘a class of its own.’ 

The problem with IMAGINE YOU AND ME is that one cannot imagine a better or equal sequel. Like Zefferelli's movie, it will prove sui generis.
