Diego Loyzaga and Barbie Imperial recently confirmed their relationship via Instagram after months of speculation.
The new year rings in a fresh start for young actors Barbie Imperial and Diego Loyzaga, who recently confirmed their relationship on Instagram in early January.
On Instagram, the son of Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday actress Teresa Loyzaga posted a photo of himself hugging Barbie.
He wrote in the caption, “Happy new year to us! Thanks for making the end of my 2020 memorable. Let's goooo 2021!!!”
On other hand, Barbie Imperial said, “Still my favorite photo of us! Totally unexpected to fall for someone I thought I'd be just friends with forever, but I'm really happy to have found both love and friendship with this one.
“Thank you for making me happy and feel loved. Thank you for everything that you do to make me feel the love I deserve. So thankful for you, thank God for you. #AngCheezyNiBarbie.”
She added, “Pagbigyan ngayon lang ulit naging ganito.”
In the comments section of Diego and Barbie's posts, Teresa Loyzaga showed her support for her son and the actress's budding romance.
She wrote in the comments, “Happy looks so good on both of you!
“Hija @msbarbieimperial and my son @diegoloyzaga love each other, respect each other, protect each other, speak kind words to each other. Be happy. You both deserve it.”
The praise reached the young actress who replied to the Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday star, “Thank you po tita!”
Aside from Teresa Loyzaga, Diego's stepmother Sunshine Cruz also showed support for the couple who said, “Aww, we love you both”

In November, rumors of a budding romance sparked between the two after Diego left a comment on Barbie Imperial's bikini photo on Instagram.
Since then, fans have been linking the two and saying that they would make a wonderful couple.
The couple was then spotted on a date at the Pinto Art Museum in Antipolo in December.
Diego is a Filipino actor, model, and video jockey, and is the son of Teresa Loyzaga to actor Cesar Montano.
