Versatile actress Tessie Tomas signed an exclusive contract with GMA Network last Monday, November 25, making her an official Kapuso for the next two years. Present in the said event were GMA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, GMA Entertainment TV’s Officer-in-Charge Lilybeth G. Rasonable, and Mr. Ricky Gallardo, Tessie's manager.

Tessie, who was last seen in Kahit Nasaan Ka Man as Kristoffer Martin's grandmother Lola Corazon, was all smiles when she faced the press after the contract signing. "Nakakataba ng puso na maging Kapuso, at gagawin ko ang lahat na magagawa ko nang sa ganun maging worthy naman ako sa pagiging Kapuso."

The veteran comedienne also shared a bit about her upcoming project. "Excited ako dahil alam ko mayroon akong bagong soap na sasalihan. Parang medyo challenging kaya nagpapapayat ako, para maging sexy ako."

Ms. Lilybeth G. Rasonable also expressed her thoughts on having Tessie as a GMA contract artist. "Alam naman nating lahat na very versatile si Tita Tessie, and she can do very serious dramas, and sometimes in her dramas, in her soaps, nakakatawa din siya. Lahat puwede niyang gawin. We're very happy na she chose to be with us here at the Kapuso network."
