The 'T.G.I.S.' cast pays tribute to Red Sternberg, who passed away in May 2025
Direk Mark Reyes and the T.G.I.S. barkada pay tribute to Red Sternberg.
Direk Mark Reyes shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram honoring the late Red Sternberg, a beloved member of the '90s youth-oriented show T.G.I.S. In his post, Direk Mark wrote, “The TGIS Barkada hosts a memorial service for @redsternberg. Welcome home, Kiko!”
Red, fondly remembered as “Kiko” in T.G.I.S., also appeared in several films throughout the '90s and early 2000s, including The Jessica Alfaro Story (1995), Where 'D' Girls 'R' (1996), T.G.I.S.: The Movie (1997) and TV shows T.G.I.S. (1995-1997), Growing Up (1997-1999), Campus Romance: Angelika's Fallen (1998), Anna Karenina (1999-2000), and Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga (2001-2003).
After his career in showbiz, Red moved to the U.S. and worked as a hotel manager. He passed away on May 27, 2025, just three days before his 51st birthday, leaving behind his wife, Sandy, and their three children.
