Fans of sports anime and manga "Haikyuu" made the hashtags #ThankYouHaikyuu and #ThankYouFurudate trend on Twitter as the manga closed its final chapter last July 19.

After eight years, 45 volumes, and 402 chapters, beloved sports manga Haikyuu finally published its last chapter on July 19, 2020.

Fans of the manga took to Twitter to express their love by making the hashtag #ThankYouHaikyuu trend in the said platform.

The hashtag #ThankYouFurudate also became a trending topic on Twitter as fans thanked mangaka Haruichi Furudate who wrote and illustrated Haikyuu.

The 2012 manga series tells the story of high school volleyball players Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama and their struggles to reach the top of their game.

The anime is currently on its fourth season and is available for binge-watching on Netflix.
