The Celebrity Jessica Rodriguez fell into the limelight when she became a model and an actress. The fact that she was the former girlfriend of the Hollywood actor Jean Claude Van Damme and the wife of renowned decathlete David Bunevacz definitely added glitter to her stardom. She later became a talent manager to a number of sexy actresses and has even put up her own cosmetic and skin center. She was quoted saying that she wants her talents to look good because they have to really look like movie stars. So instead of sending them off to other doctors, she has her own clinic to look after them and endorse at the same time. Smart move for a budding entrepreneur, right? Now, she has her eye on another accolade. Her new goal is to be the Celebrity Duets champion. The Siren A multi-faceted lady, Jessica surprised a lot of people with her choice of songs and celebrity partners. She had duets with Jay-R, Radha, Joey G. of Side A, Vernie Varga and Janet Basco. Dipping her hands into different genres of music, Jessica’s improvement as a singer is slowly but surely being noticed by everyone. “I am really trying my best na ilabas ko lahat. I think hindi ko pa naitotodo na ilabas lahat, so hopefully for the next few weeks kung nandito pa ako sana lumabas na siya,” said Jessica right before her fifth performance. True enough, she managed to avoid being eliminated for the second time and has in fact received praises from the judges and hosts of the show. “Pagaling ng pagaling habang tumatagal. Kung nung una dinadaan lang nya sa pagpapakita ng legs,ngayon nag improve na talaga ang boses nya,” said Regine Velasquez when she introduced Jessica in one of her performances. “Congratulations! It is a difficult song, the misconception is that if you sing a soft song it would be easier, no it is harder because the notes are really lumulutang. But I love the look, I love the arrangement and I love the whole performance,” explained Mitch Valdez, one of the judges of Celebrity Duets, after Jessica’s fifth performance. Truly serious in becoming the first ever Filipino Celebrity Duets champion, Jessica is definitely giving her all not only in performing but also in campaigning for votes.
