
Kapuso artist Naya Ambi is primed to transition from reality‑show standout to theater actress, showcasing her vocal prowess and emotional acting.
After winning The Clash 2024, she will star in the upcoming musical Joseph The Dreamer.
A worship leader, Naya will play the role of Joseph's wife Asenath on the longest running musical of the Christian theater company, Trumpets. Joseph The Dreamer will run on July 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, and 20, and will take place in Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza in Makati City.
Naya will join Beauty Empire star Sam Concepcion who returns to the titular role. Kapuso singer Aicelle Santos and Naya's fellow The Clash graduate Julia Serad are also part of the upcoming musical.
Joseph The Dreamer returns under the direction of Paolo Valenciano. Written by Freddie Santos, it is based on the cantata by Cam Floria, Joseph, Whatever Happened to the Dreamer? - which was first staged at the St. Theresa's College of Cebu Auditorium in 1989.
Naya was dubbed as The Clash 2024's “Soulful Gen Z.”
After winning the singing competition, she signed with GMA talent management arm, Sparkle. She is currently a mainstay on the Kapuso noontime show All Out Sundays where she is part of the diva group Queendom.
