The Clash 2024 aired its pilot episode on Saturday, September 14, in GMA's Sabado Star Power evening block.
The show opened with its reigning champion, 2023 winner John Rex singing Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight" on top of a building.
It then transitioned to the The Clash 2024 stage where John Rex performed together with the top 24 Clashers from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and NCR.
Clash Masters Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz, and Clash Panel Aiai Delas Alas, Christian Bautista, and Lani Misalucha were also introduced during the festive opening number.
The pilot episode began with the first round of the competition titled 'One on One' where the Clashers experienced the first intense twist called "Circle of Clash" right away.
In the said round, from the 24 Clashers, only 12 can proceed to the next round.
According to the rule, the Clashers, picked by the randomizer, choose who they want to compete with in round one.
The first batch of contestants who battled it out in The Clash Arena were Zandra Pateres vs Hans Rocel, Czyle David vs Alfred Bogabil, and Gia Marie and Angel D.
Zandra, Alfred, and Angel D. won the battle against their respective opponents which made them get to the second round.
The Clash 2024 premiered with a bang as it won the ratings game against its competing program, earning a 10.6 rating based on preliminary/overnight data from Nielsen Philippines Television Audience Measurement (TAM).
